Description
Rare and extraordinary late 80s / early 90s dress by Givenchy Nouvelle Boutique. Beautifully made in France in the most unusual silky, line and dot pattern fabric with a hint of shimmer that photos do not do justice to ( fabric unknown but possibly silk/silk blend). A simple elegant, slightly tulip style shape made exceptional with an almost Pierrot style ruffled yoke, padded shoulders and extravagantly ruffled sleeves. All finished with long sash neck tie. Half front button fastenings (with spare button in lining!). Yoke and sleeves lined in chiffon.
Condition: good vintage condition: light mark on pussy bow sash and inner sleeve hem needs a stitch
Sizing: recommended for 10/12 or smaller: shoulders seam to seam 15”, to pad edging 18”, pit to pit 21.5”, hips 40”, length 43”, hem circumference 38”, inner sleeve length 13”, circumference 9”
