Original 70’s maxidress by coveted designer Gina Fratini (favoured by Princess Diana and Elizabeth Taylor amongst others .. and worn by Taylor for her second marriage to Richard Burton). Bearing all the hallmarks of the best of 1970s design with its honeyed brown, cream and beige print, highlighted by touches of blue and grey: puffed sleeves finished with cuffs, frills and lacey ric-rac to match bodice and scooped neckline trim. Fitted bodice finished with sewn on sash tie and, of course, the essential tiered, ruffled and trimmed full length maxi length skirt. Fabric unknown but possibly silk/cotton and with a slight gossamer-like finish. An absolute treasure of a dress.
Condition: very good vintage condition: almost looks and feels like new apart from the faintest remnant of an underarm mark on one side (has been cleaned but just a tiny sign of a mark remains)
Sizing: best suited to size 6 to small size 8 (but please check measurements): shoulders 13″, pit to pit 16″, waist 24″, length 52″
