Just the most adorable prairie, milkmaid style maxi dress by John Charles. Purchased and worn once as a wedding dress in 1975. Beautifully crafted in sheer cream cotton-feel fabric with subtle self stripe and ditsy leaf embroidery. The flowing, ruffled hem skirt flows from an exquisite shirred bodice, with milkmaid sleeves and ruffled neck. And all edged in delicate lace trim! The waist is trimmed with pretty velvet ribbon, fastening is by concealed back zip and the dress is lined in cream. An absolute dream.
Condition: very good vintage condition: small damage to lining near hem at back (heel catch!) but otherwise immaculate condition
Sizing: recommended for size 6/8: shoulders seam to seam 13.5”, pit to pit 16.5”/17”, shoulder to waist 14”, waist 24”/25”, length 53” : for reference model is size 8 and 5’8”
