Description
Exquisite vintage dress coat intricately embelished with beautiful Kashmiri embroidery. Fabric unknown but possibly very fine wool / silk. Colour best described as beige-gold with a hint of mustard. Multi tonal floral embroidery design in reds and pinks, creams, browns and mauve highlighted with vibrant leaves of green. Currently a kaftan style dress – closed at the front with two press-stud fastenings below Nehru style neckline with self covered decorative buttons below, but very likely originated as a coat and could be reopened and converted to front opening quite easily.
Condition: good vintage condition: one minor mark to back (see photos) and some age marking/discolouration as expected with a vintage garment of this kind. Otherwise in beautiful condition with no noticaeable flaws in embroidery stitching.
Sizing: Fits Medium/Large. Suitable for up to size 16 or smaller sizes depending on desired fit. Shoulders 16″, pit to pit 22″, length 40″
